FAQ
Common questions.
Is there really no chat in the app?
Yes. Unomi is not an app for texting. After receiving a proposal, you can send a request to join a meeting. If the other person accepts, you move to an offline meetup.
What if I do not want to accept an invitation?
You can decline. Declining is a normal part of the app, but we assume you use it when you can meet. Two declines in a row mean a short online-mode block.
What if someone accepts and does not show up?
You can report that behavior in the app, return to online mode and wait for a new meeting proposal. We want to protect the time of people who actually want to meet.
Do I have to share my location?
Only when you want to use meeting mode. You can also indicate a meeting place. We encourage choosing public and safe locations.
Why are profiles so short?
The profile should help with the first decision, while the real conversation starts live. Less profile, more real person.
Is this a dating app?
It can be used for dating, but its main goal is meeting people in real life. The user chooses expectations for each active session.
